Terms of Service
Last updated October 5, 2026
These terms apply to the Coverline website and client dashboard. By using them, you agree to these terms. If you use them on behalf of a business, you agree for that business.
1. Our service and your agreement
Coverline provides an AI front desk that answers calls for service businesses. Pricing, setup, the guarantee, and cancellation are set out in the service agreement we sign with each client. If that agreement conflicts with these terms, the agreement wins.
2. Accounts
Dashboard accounts are created by invitation. Keep your password private, use a strong one, and tell us right away at dylan@coverline.co if you think someone else has accessed your account. You're responsible for activity under your account.
3. What the AI assistant does, and doesn't do
- The assistant answers calls, gathers details, tells emergencies apart from routine requests, alerts the contacts you set up, books into the time slots you allow, and sends summaries. It always tells callers it's an AI.
- It isn't an emergency service. Callers describing danger, such as a gas smell or a carbon monoxide alarm, are told to leave and call 911. You remain responsible for responding to your customers and for the work you do.
- It doesn't quote prices or diagnose problems. Like any person or system, it can occasionally misunderstand a caller. Review the summaries we send you and confirm important details with your customers.
- We work to keep the service available at all times, but we can't guarantee that every call will be answered (for example, during outages at a phone carrier or one of our providers). When the assistant is unavailable, calls fall back to voicemail and we notify you.
4. Your responsibilities as a client
- Give us accurate business details, hours, service areas, and on-call contacts, and keep them up to date.
- Keep call forwarding to your Coverline number turned on for the hours you want covered.
- Use the service lawfully, including the laws that apply to how you contact your own customers.
5. Acceptable use
Don't misuse the website, dashboard, or phone lines: no attempts to break in, disrupt the service, send spam, or use the service for anything illegal or harmful. We may suspend access to protect the service or other users.
6. Your data and our software
Your business information and your customers' call data belong to you. You allow us to use them only to provide and support the service, as described in our Privacy Policy. The Coverline website, software, and brand belong to us.
7. Third-party services
Coverline relies on providers such as phone carriers, Twilio, Retell AI, Google, Supabase, and Railway. Their services are subject to their own terms, and we're not responsible for their outages.
8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
Except as stated in your service agreement, the website and dashboard are provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, Coverline isn't liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits or lost jobs, and our total liability is limited to the fees you paid us in the three months before the claim.
9. Ending service
You can stop using Coverline as described in your service agreement. We may suspend or end access for a serious or repeated breach of these terms.
10. Changes and governing law
We may update these terms and will change the date at the top when we do. These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
